Safex is pleased to be associated with the new educational initiative,
Contraception Education. A special board game, called CONTRACEPTION
(TM) has been developed to help young people learn more and openly
discuss the subject, with the aim of reducing teenage pregnancy
rates. Click here to visit their website

Every responsible parent and teacher has thought at some time
about how we can educate young people of the need to practise
safe sex, if and when they decide to form an appropriate relationship.
Like you, we (who are also parents) want to help give youngsters
the information they need, without condoning premature sexual
relationships or outside a mature loving partnership.
We know that young people will find their way to this web-site
and are concerned that they should find worthwhile information
in an easy to understand format on the Internet.
For this reason, we have compiled the "SAFE SEX GUIDE FOR YOUNG
PEOPLE" which is intended to inform teenagers, to stress that
sex is special within relationships and to warn against the pitfalls
of unprotected intercourse.
If this helps to prevent just one of the many pregnancies or sexually
transmitted diseases that occur among young people (some of them
minors), then we believe that this effort will have been worthwhile.
We have now introduced pages to illustrate the correct way to use a condom, together with a condom demonstrator, which we believe will be particularly acceptable for school
use, when compared to old fashioned models. For more information,
please use our on-line enquiry form.
Please note that we have not included a link to the gay condom
information page from the young peoples' page.
If you have any comments or suggestions about this initiative,
then we would be delighted to receive them from you by e-mail. |
